Queer Emporium has partnered with the Iris Prize to present a new series of film screenings in the historic surroundings of the Royal Arcade in Cardiff. The first programme is a celebration of short films from the local filmmaking community.

Join us for an evening of cocktails, conversation and cinema magic.

The filmmakers – most will be in attendance to introduce their work – are:

• Ian Smith – Three Letters (Shortlisted for Best British Short Film Iris 2021)
• Rosemary Baker – Lesbian (Shortlisted for Best British Short Film Iris 2021)
• Efa Blosse-Mason – Cwch Deilen (Shortlisted for Best British Short Film Iris 2021)
• Suryatapa Mukherjee – Glitter (Glitter Cymru’s Iris Outreach Short Film)

Many of the filmmakers will be in attendance and there will be an opportunity to chat with them after the screenings.

Screenings will start at 8pm, doors will open from 7:30pm.

Special drinks will be served including a trans flag coffee cocktail of which profits will go to Trans Aid Cymru.
