15 films. Three programmes. One very special day celebrating the best of British LGBTQ+ storytelling.
Join us on Friday 16 October as all 15 films shortlisted for the Iris Prize Best British Short 2026, sponsored by Film4 and Pinewood Studios, take to the big screen at Cineworld Cardiff.
The films are presented across three specially curated programmes, with each programme also receiving an accessible screening with BSL interpretation and captions.
The celebrations continue throughout the day with our Best British Lunch at the Clayton Hotel before we discover this year’s winners at the Best British Awards that evening.
The demands of immigration, meeting the parents, finding power in sex work, an unexpected investigation, and 10 years of transitioning. This collection of films invites audiences on a journey through identity, resilience, and transformation.
