Sarah Jones

Best British Jury 2020

Born in Cardiff, Sarah is an International hockey player for Great Britain and Wales with over 120 combined appearances. She has competed in two Commonwealth Games and is currently training towards the now delayed 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. Her appearance at a showcase event against New Zealand at The Stoop, Twickenham saw the attendance of 10,000 fans, the biggest crowd at a hockey match in the UK since 2012, and she was the first Welsh outfield athlete to represent Great Britain for eight years, carving the way for an increased number of Welsh athletes within the Great Britain hockey set up. She is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ hockey community and is delighted to have been asked to be part of the jury for the Iris Prize Best British Short.
