Hello!
We’re hope you’re all set for the 2024 edition of the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
We’re really looking forward to meeting everyone as Iris returns to Vue Cinemas, Stadium Plaza.
Q&As
This year we’re pleased to confirm there will be a Q&As session after every shorts programme, so please remember to allow around 20 minutes more than the film running times when planning your day.
Festival Pass
You should have received an email from Eventive, our ticketing system with your pass. We’ll issue you with a physical pass you can use to access all the screenings and events in Cardiff when you arrive, but if there’s something you definitely want to see from the programme please use your pass online to book a seat. It’s particularly important that you use your pass online to book a seat for Opening Night or the Iris Awards if you want to attend those events.
How to check in when you arrive in Cardiff
The Festival base this year is at: Stadium Plaza, Wood Street, Cardiff CF10 1LA. It’s just a short walk across Central Square from Cardiff Central Station / Cardiff Bus Interchange.
You can collect your pass from the Iris Box Office in the cinema foyer. This will be staffed as follows:
- Tuesday 8 October from 14:00 until 19:30 only
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 09:30 until the last film starts
- Sunday 16 October from 11:45 until 18:00
Iris Bar
Join us for a drink and a chance to catch up with fellow festival goers in the Iris Cafe Bar which will be open daily during the festival (and late on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday). Members pricing is obviously applies for Iris members as well as Filmmakers & Friends of Iris.
Lunch at Clayton
On Saturday we are pleased to be providing a hot lunch at the festival’s official hotel – The Clayton Hotel, St Mary Street. Provision is being made for vegetarian and vegan diets. This lunch can be attended by the following pass holders:
- Full Pass | Weekend Pass | Saturday Pass
- Filmmaker Pass | Friends of Iris Pass | Jury Pass | Volunteer Pass
