If you want to keep in touch with Iris during the year sign up to our free monthly newsletter. This is the best way to find out about the events and screenings we arrange during the year. Most Iris events take place in Cardiff, and we visit UK locations including London, Brighton and Manchester. Popular events include the Christmas and Summer parties, the Santes Dwynwen Supper in January and much more.

Iris events are open to the public and you can buy tickets to each event.

However, if you are a Friend of Iris, you will be invited to attend some events for free and secure priority booking for the other events and screenings!

To become a Friend of Iris you need to be able to offer hosted accommodation to visiting filmmakers during the week of the festival in Cardiff.

This short film explains how it works:

If you can offer hosted accommodation and become a Friend of Iris, Contact:

To help ensure Iris can continue to offer winning film makers the opportunity to make a new short film we have established the Iris Prize Short Film Fund. Members who are willing to donate at least £150 to the Iris Prize Short Film Fund will receive all of the benefits of being a Friend of Iris, as well as seeing their donation put to good use in supporting the Iris Prize itself. Iris Short Film Patrons will also receive an on-screen credit on the Iris short produced in the year of their donation.
