A poignant and heartwarming story set in a Welsh fishing village. Henrick (Ché) and Arwyn (Iwan) share a bond that transcends friendship, filled with unspoken longing and love. Henrick’s love for Shirley Bassey’s music is his way to overcome the conservative views of their community.

The film explores the struggles of Henrick and Arwyn as they navigate their feelings for each other in a society that may not fully accept them.

John Sheedy is an award-winning director, writer, and producer across film, television, and theatre. His debut short, Mrs McCutcheon, won 52 awards internationally, while his first feature, H is for Happiness, premiered at MIFF, won major prizes at Cinefest Oz and Berlinale, and earned ten AACTA nominations. His second short, Tarneit, won the prestigious Iris Prize, and his latest feature, Runt, was the third-highest-grossing Australian film of 2024 and a 2025 AACTA Best Film nominee. On television, John directed the acclaimed mini-series In Our Blood for ABC and the teen drama More Than This for Paramount+.
