Philip Guttmann

Phillip Guttmann is a queer writer, producer and licensed therapist. He has written several plays that have received staged productions and readings in New York and more recently he moved to Los Angeles to focus on screenwriting. In 2015, he wrote the story for and co-produced D. Asian, which screened at several film festivals internationally. He wrote and co-produced Tender Touches as part of the 2018 AT&T Create-a-thon which won grand prize. Phillip most recently wrote and co-produced the short film Black Hat (2019) which was a selection in several film festivals across and won several awards, most notably the 2019 Iris Prize. Phillip is working on several new projects for film and television and continues to practice as a therapist and social worker part-time. He is a proud alumni of New York University and The New School for Drama.
