Francis Brown
Music promoter & Friends of Iris
Francis is a music promoter who has worked with Bright Light Bright Light, VOYA and Russian queer exiles SADO OPERA. He helped organise the first Gay Pride march in Cardiff in 1985 and started The Pink Film Society in 1986; a short-lived Cardiff LGBTQ+ film society. Francis has spent the past 10 years working as the Iris Volunteer Co-ordinator. He lives with Martin and their beloved, but slightly mischievous cat Bobby.
Mae Francis yn hyrwyddwr cerddoriaeth sydd wedi gweithio gyda Bright Light Bright Light, VOYA a’r grŵp alltud cwiar Rwsiaidd SADO OPERA. Helpodd i drefnu gorymdaith Gay Pride gyntaf Caerdydd ym 1985 a dechreuodd The Pink Film Society ym 1986; cymdeithas ffilm LHDTQ+ byrhoedlog yng Nghaerdydd. Mae Francis wedi treulio’r 10 mlynedd diwethaf yn gweithio fel Cydlynydd Gwirfoddolwyr Iris. Mae’n byw gyda Martin a’u cath annwyl, ond braidd yn ddireidus, Bobby.
