Pick a film. Grab a drink. Meet a filmmaker. Talk about films. Repeat.
From Monday 12 to Sunday 18 October 2026, the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival celebrates its 20th edition, bringing some of the best LGBTQ+ filmmakers and storytellers from around the world to Cardiff. Our main festival home is Cineworld Cardiff, with elements of the programme also taking place at Chapter and the University of South Wales.
Many of the filmmakers behind this year’s films will be joining us in Cardiff, so Iris is about much more than watching a film. Stay for a Q&A, hear the stories behind the screen, meet filmmakers and fellow film lovers, and become part of the Iris community. Whether you want to join us for one screening, spend a whole day at Iris or immerse yourself in the entire festival, there are plenty of ways to take part.
The Iris Prize Box Office is available online 24/7.
Members’ Box Office opens on Thursday 3 September | Individual tickets go on general sale Monday 7 September.
