Our first of hopefully many collaborations with Iris falls hand in hand with this. Sharing these LGBT short films with our audience will be both an accessible and powerful way for Respect’s members and friends to learn more.”
Berwyn Rowlands added:
“Our 2016 audience survey confirmed that 31% of our audience comes from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This year we saw more people attend from outside London with a large increase attending from Scotland and the North of England. We believe that reaching out to new people in Manchester in partnership with the Co-op can only be a good thing and hopefully will encourage more people to come to Cardiff to “Watch films, Party nightly, Repeat.”

The Iris Prize partners with the Co-op’s Respect LGBT Network.
Some of the best Iris Prize short films will be screening in Manchester this Thursday (3 November 2016) in partnership with the Co-op’s Respect LGBT Network. The evening will comprise of six short films and an introduction from Iris Prize Festival Director Berwyn Rowlands.
Berwyn Rowlands from the Iris Prize said:
“I’m delighted that Iris is working with the Co-op’s Respect LGBT Network. Sharing LGBT stories via film is a powerful way to encourage tolerance and acceptance. I hope this first collaboration will be the start of a long relationship, as we bring some amazing short films to Manchester.”
