Co-op Audience Award: Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival 2020
The Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival is going on line in 2020 and is available to audiences across the UK for free. Everyone who watches one or more of the Iris Prize short listed films from the 2020 Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival programme via Iris’ virtual cinema at watch.eventive.org/iris2020 is invited to complete a ballot for the Iris Prize Co-op Audience Award. Everyone who submits at least one ballot will be entered into a prize draw. Each person submitting a ballot has one chance of winning a prize, regardless of how many of the shortlisted films they watched or how many ballots they submit. Ballots are submitted on-line after each programme viewed and each person may only submit one ballot per film. As the films are available to watch in the UK for free during the period 7 – 11 October inclusive no purchase is necessary and entry is free.
After the end of the ballot (23:45 on 31 October 2020) no further entries will be accepted. Prize winners will be selected by random draw. The first prize will be a trip to the 2021 Iris Prize Festival, scheduled to be held in Cardiff 5 – 10 October 2021. This prize will include return standard class rail travel for two people on mainland UK from the railway station nearest their home to Cardiff and five nights accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis for two people in a twin or double room at the Festival hotel – Clayton Hotel, Cardiff. The winner will also receive two complimentary full passes to the 2021 Iris Prize LGBT+ film festival and be included on the guest list for key festival events including opening night and the 2021 Iris Awards.
There will also be three runners-up prizes of a Co-op hamper containing a selection of food products from the Co-op range, typically including a bottle of wine, luxury snacks, preserves and confectionery.
Those selected to receive a prize will be notified by email to the email address they used to log in to Eventive and under which their ballot(s) were cast before 15 November 2020.
This prize draw is promoted by Iris Prize Outreach Ltd, a charity registered in England and Wales number 1149914. Winners will be invited to participate in social media promoting the Iris Prize and their win.
