Laith Jaafar
CIPD Assoc
Laith is a people professional dedicated to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion. His personal journey fuels a deep commitment to LGBTQI+ equality, inspiring him to complete a Masters in Human Resource Management at the University of York. His research explored trans inclusion policies, focusing on how senior leaders can strengthen support packages and create more inclusive workplaces. Through this work, Laith amplified trans voices, highlighting lived experiences and the systemic challenges faced by the community.
As former Co-Chair of Respect, the LGBTQI+ colleague network at the Co-op, Laith led initiatives that spotlighted marginalised voices and strengthened intersectional inclusion across the workplace. He now brings this passion into his role within the People and Culture Team at Perkbox, where he continues to foster inclusive environments that celebrate diverse perspectives and drive meaningful cultural change.
Mae Laith yn weithiwr proffesiynol ym maes pobl sy’n ymroddedig i hyrwyddo ecwiti, amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant. Mae ei daith bersonol yn tanio ymrwymiad dwfn i gydraddoldeb LHDTQI+, gan ei ysbrydoli i gwblhau gradd Meistr mewn Rheoli Adnoddau Dynol ym Mhrifysgol Efrog. Archwiliodd ei ymchwil bolisïau cynhwysiant traws, gan ganolbwyntio ar sut y gall uwch arweinwyr gryfhau pecynnau cymorth a chreu gweithleoedd mwy cynhwysol. Trwy’r gwaith hwn, ymhelaethodd Laith ar leisiau traws, gan amlygu profiadau byw a’r heriau systemig y mae’r gymuned yn eu hwynebu.
Fel cyn-Gyd-gadeirydd Respect, rhwydwaith cydweithwyr LHDTQI+ yn y Co-op, arweiniodd Laith fentrau a oedd yn tynnu sylw at leisiau ymylol ac yn cryfhau cynhwysiant croestoriadol ar draws y gweithle. Mae bellach yn dod â’r angerdd hwn i’w rôl o fewn y Tîm Pobl a Diwylliant yn Perkbox, lle mae’n parhau i feithrin amgylcheddau cynhwysol sy’n dathlu safbwyntiau amrywiol ac yn ysgogi newid diwylliannol ystyrlon.
