For our 20th anniversary, Iris is going bigger than ever with a record 16 feature films from Wales and around the world.

Discover bold new voices, festival favourites, UK, European and Welsh premieres, alongside landmark LGBTQ+ films that helped shape queer cinema.

And at Iris, the conversation doesn’t always end when the credits roll. Many of this year’s filmmakers and special guests will be joining us in Cardiff for Q&As and conversations — including Andrew Haigh, revisiting Weekend 15 years on, and Donna Deitch, celebrating the groundbreaking Desert Hearts.

We’ll bring Iris20 to a close with the Welsh premiere of Black Church Bay, starring Tom Cullen and Joe Locke, with Welsh-Irish director Rhys Marc Jones joining us for a special Q&A.
